Do you know the Quality of your Air?
The majority of home and/or business owners today do not know that cleaning your HVAC system and air duct supply lines is beneficial in many ways. Some of those reasons include:
- Provides you with cleaner fresher air for you, your family and your associates.
- Reduces the amount of dirt, dust, allergens, pollutants and possible contaminants, including mold in your home and/or business.
- Increases efficiency of your system; and, potentially decreases electrical bills.
Since 1989, the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA), a leading authority in standards, guidelines and training in maintaining HVAC systems and air ducts, has always proclaimed that we generate a great deal of contaminants and air pollutants, such as dander, dust, and chemicals.
Every time you walk in and out of your home or business, you bring in all kinds of microbial spores, pollutants and other particles. These types of contaminants are pulled into the HVAC system and re-circulated 5 to 7 times per day on average. This type of re-circulation over time can cause a buildup of contaminants in the air ducts.
Having dirty ducts do not always mean that you have “unhealthy air” in your home or business. It may contribute to much larger health issues or harbor contaminants that could cause serious health problems for people with respiratory conditions, autoimmune disorders or some type of environmental allergy. Our air duct cleaning services will reduce the buildup of contaminants leaving your air as healthy as it can be.
The use of a proper filter, such as HEPA filters, may help prevent some contaminant build-up, however the system still gets dirty through normal and causes the system to work harder. When the system works harder, it can cause the coil to freeze up in the summertime and the heating elements to burn out in the winter time. If your system works harder than normal, it could shorten the lifespan of the system.
You should use Filters that you can’t see through, like “pleated” filters of MERV 8 or better. What is MERV? Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) is a standard that rates the overall effectiveness of air filters. Higher value MERV rating equates to finer filtration, meaning fewer dust particles and other airborne contaminants can pass through the filter. MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value.
Using Electrostatic Filters will be cost efficient; and, can be efficient to assist in having better quality air. The Electrostatic Filter come in the “efficiency” of either 85% or 94% efficiency rate; and, is washable to be reused. A Electrostatic Filter can last up to 10 years if properly maintained.
A typical project of 8 to 10 Vents with one Air Handler Unit will take approximately 3 hours to complete. During the process of the Air Duct cleaning, we spray a Anti-Microbial Botanical Inhibitor made specifically to attack all types of bacteria in the air or surface; and, is safe for your pets and family.
